Livewire – The Competition
The pilgrimage of the gods of rock and demons alike, Livewire the biggest rock
competition in in India has been the birthplace of bands like Parikrama, Zero,
and Demonic Resusrrection to name a few.
so all you metalheads, stoners,potheads and hippies alike are bound to
go into a frenzy seeing the stage turn into a battleground with the blood thirsty
rockers in their quest to be a part of the legacy that is Livewire...

Due to numerous requests the last date for submission of demos and registrations have been shifted to 21st November.
The confirmed list will be put up on or before December 1.
The tentative dates for the Livewire Competitions are the 19th and 20th December, Livewire nite will be on the 20th Dec.
The headling band this year would be finnish band Ensiferum, along with an Indian band.

Registration have started.
1) Registrations will be in two simultaneous steps.
a)Filling up a registration form as given in the site,
b) Submission of Demos according to the details in rule no .2,3
2) Demos: - Be it any sound sample, any mp3, be it a video, be it a handy-cam print or a DVD- Rip, they are all welcome. A recording in a professional studio is NOT a pre-requisite. There are 2 methods of sending across the demos to us
a) Post it to the following address

b) Mail it to livewire@moodi.org (the maximum file size that you can send will depend on your mail client. For example - gmail allows 10 Mb.)
3) The demo file names should have the band name as the title, and then the song name. Send in your demos with minimum one original composition (OC).
No restrictions on the number of demos. Atleast two demos are preferable
Eg:- If my band is ABC and I am sending demos of PQR and XYZ songs, I shall send 2 files ABC_PQR and ABC_XYZ (NOT necessarily on the same CD, or in the same mail). If you are sending it to the address, the CD cover as well as the CD should have your band name, if you are e-mailing it to us, it should have the band name as the subject of the mail.
4) The registration forms are not valid without demos and similarly the demos are not valid without the registration forms.
5) Registrations close on 21th November at 2359 hrs.
6) The final list will be up on or before 1st December.
7) There shall be a few wild card entries, so do not hesitate to register. This is to primarily give opportunities to college bands.
8) The copyright of the demos will be respected.
9) The list of short-listed bands shall be up by latest 27th November. All the short listed bands shall be immediately contacted by telephone and e-mail. The eliminations rules and regulations shall be given to all the short-listedbands.
10) Travel policy: - To be finalized.
11) Accommodation policy: - Details will be put up later.
12) The Judges' decision shall be final and binding for all.
13) The Mood Indigo 2008 team holds the right to change the rules at any moment of time.
14) Breach of any rules at any stage of the entire process will invite disqualification.
15) No obscenities shall be tolerated
