Spectacular Spectacular – Drama and Dance
Start with an empty stage. Add a vivid dramatics performance. Enliven it with dance pieces. Stun the audience with a flamboyant performance, as you put up an all-round show like one never seen before! The result is nothing less than a true feast for the senses. Spectacular Spectacular!

Teams must perform a story on stage using dramatics and dance blending with each other. Though the two forms do not necessarily have to be performed simultaneously, both must be used creatively to convey the story. Equal weight will be given to dance and dramatics parts.

Teams must perform a story on stage in Hindi or English or both, using dramatics and dance blending with each other. Though the two forms do not necessarily have to be performed simultaneously, both must be used creatively to convey the story.
The performance should comprise total choreographed dance performances of minimum 4 minutes. The choreographed dance performance should be either thematic (one which carries the story forward) or situational (which sets up the mood and is relevant to the story).
Different individuals are allowed to portray the same character (for example, two different people portraying the lead character in dance and dramatics parts. Tip: Similar costumes may be used for this purpose.)

• Registrations are limited in number – Register soon. Registration will be complete only when you receive a confirmation call.
• The competition is open only to college students with a valid college I-card.
• Only one contingent entry is allowed per college. Open entries, including cross college entries are allowed, and will be allotted slots on the first come first serve basis, if available, after accommodating all contingent entries.
Team Size: Maximum 18 + 2–5 CA’s compulsory
Time Limit: 20 minutes (including stage setup and clearance time)
Top 3 teams will get a chance to perform the same piece for a second set of judges. Only here will the final standings of the top 3 teams be declared.
Production material provided: 6 chairs, 4 tables and 1 cot
Any other production material has to be brought by the teams themselves but the organizers hold the discretion of allowing it on stage.
• Blackouts and change of acts is allowed during the performance.
• Backstage voiceovers and narrations are allowed during the performance.
• Pre-recorded music is allowed and should be brought in a CD/DVD or a pen drive in .cda or .mp3 format only. (Other formats may not be supported on the computer – use them at your own risk)
• Music may also be played live. However, no amplifiers or plug-points will be provided for this purpose.
• Any kind of fluid or flame is not allowed on stage.
• Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
