Saturday Night Fever – Street Dance
Mood Indigo gives you the biggest platform ever to showcase your hip hop and funk dance moves. Interact with the spectators and leave them enthralled with your very own signature style. With talented dancers from across the country, unsurpassed energy, tempo and gusto, this is going to be one fierce battle.
The stage is set, the mood is perfect. Get ready to turn on the heat and make the road feel your thump!
The Bottom Line: Perform a group dance in a circular space surrounded by spectators on all sides.

The participants must put up a dance performance at an open venue (circular dancing area of 28 feet diameter) with the audience viewing from all around the performance area. Choice of theme is left open to performing teams.
Registration: On the spot during Mood Indigo ’08. The competition is open only to college students with a valid college I-card.
Team Size: 8-12 dancers + 1 music CA compulsory + 1 optional CA
Time Limit: 6-8 minutes (including setup and clearing time)
• Usage of props and production material is allowed. These have to be brought by the teams themselves but the organizers hold the discretion of allowing it on stage.
• Strictly no classical dance steps are allowed.
• Pre-recorded music should be brought in a CD/DVD or a pen drive in .cda or .mp3 format only. (Other formats may not be supported on the computer – use them at your own risk)
• Music may also be played live. However, no amplifiers or plug-points will be provided for this purpose.
• Any kind of fluid or flame is not allowed on stage.
• Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
